The Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation today announced the publication of its response to the directive on investing in New Zealand from the Minister of Finance, the Hon Bill English.

The response, from the Guardians' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr David May and Mr Adrian Orr respectively, said the Guardians would have regard to the Minister's directive by actively considering those investment opportunities within New Zealand that offered terms and conditions consistent with the Guardians' statutory obligation to invest on a prudent, commercial basis.

"We look forward to reporting on our progress in our Annual Reports, from this year's document onward," Mr May and Mr Orr wrote.
