New Zealand Superannuation Fund makes two leadership appointments

The Leadership Team at the New Zealand Superannuation Fund has welcomed two new members.
Michael Gleissner has been appointed General Manager Corporate Strategy, responsible for strategic development, legal, communications and records management. Mr Gleissner has previously held Chief Financial Officer roles at Pacific Fibre and at Sealord, and spent four years with Fonterra, latterly as General Manager Strategy and Business Development. Mr Gleissner has an LLB (Hons) from the University of Leeds, a PGDip Legal Studies from the Oxford Institute of Legal Studies and an MBA from the University of Otago.
General Counsel Sarah Owen has been promoted to the Fund’s Leadership Team. Ms Owen, who joined the Fund in 2007, was formerly Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for the Westpac wealth management companies, including BT Funds Management and Westpac Life. Prior to this Ms Owen was a Senior Associate at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, and before that DLA Phillips Fox, specialising in funds management/superannuation and commercial law. Ms Owen has a BA from Otago University, as well as an LLB and DipACC from Victoria University.
