NZ Super Fund confirms sale of private equity funds
POSTED ON: 19 April 2016
The New Zealand Superannuation Fund has successfully concluded the sale of its investments in three offshore private equity funds.
The investments which have been sold are Hellman & Friedman VII, JMI Equity Fund VII and H.I.G Bayside Loan Opportunities Fund II.
NZ Super Fund Head of Investments Fiona Mackenzie said: “These investments were some of the smaller ones in the Fund and the move to sell them is consistent with our strategy to have fewer, deeper relationships with our investment managers.“
It is also pleasing to be able to realise gains from a part of the Fund’s portfolio that has performed strongly in recent years.”
The name of the buyer is confidential, as is the sale price.
None of the sales involved New Zealand assets.
